A new songwriting project is coming up - a "challenge" in which I write a full evening of new songs in a month - between one concert (april 6th at Rasputin's) and the "results" concert on May 4th also at Rasputin's.

Come along on Sunday April 6th if you want to suggest a topic for a new song!

Hi, everyone. (This is David talking) Hope you enjoy this website. I mean it to be a place where people can get into the music I'm writing and that I enjoy. It's about the songs, after all. So there will be places where you can hear what I've written, and for people who like to play music I'll include the lead sheets and scores for songs as I get the time to prepare them. Lyrics certainly. But I'll add other things too. Links to my favourite artists. A workshop area with demos, live performances and alternative recordings of songs, and things that I've just finished but haven't recorded, maybe even things I'm working on if I get really brave. We'll see.

And of course there is, or will be, the usual web stuff:

places to send comments to me (some of which I may add to the site, if it's okay with you.)
places to order CDs, songbooks, and so on. How about a bobble-head doll? (But first I have to get the e-commerce stuff together.)
places where you can see what shows I'm doing. (I don't do a lot. But I'm thinking about doing a Web-only concert. - I'll have to see what it costs.)
ravings and musings about music.
maybe some pictures and images from the album ... and other places.

So it will be a work in progress forever, as I see it. Drop in from time to time and see what I've had time to add. And don't forget to write.
